How to Prevent a LabWindows/CVI Real-Time DLL from Running at Startup

Primary Software: LabWindows/CVI Add-ons>>Real-Time Module
Primary Software Version: N/A
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
I have deployed a LabWindows/CVI Real-Time startup DLL to my real-time (RT) target.  How do I prevent the DLL from running at startup?

Solution:
The preferred method to stop a startup DLL from executing on the RT system is from the LabWindows/CVI environment.  From LabWindows/CVI » Run » Switch Execution Target » Select Target With Options... » enter the RT system's name or IP address into the Machine Name/IP field » Copy Support Files...

Click on the startup DLL » Toggle Startup DLL » Done.

Restart the RT system for the changes to take effect.

Note: If the RT system has become unresponsive or unreachable from LabWindows/CVI because of problems with the startup DLL, you can still prevent the startup DLL from running.  FTP to the root of the RT system's disk.  Remove the name of the startup DLL from c:\ni-rt.ini for the StartupDLLs field.  Depending on the RT system's level of unresponsiveness, it may be necessary to put the system into Safe Mode before the FTP server on the RT system becomes available.
