How do I Check-In a License to VLM? Primary Software: Other NI Software>>NI Volume License ManagerPrimary Software Version: 2.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: When I opened my application, it successfully checked out a license from Volume License Manager (VLM). How can I check-in this license? Solution: When you close your licensed application while a network connection to the VLM server is maintained, your application will automatically check-in the license. If your program or computer crashes, or you are disconnected from the server when the application closes, then you can check-in the license by restarting the VLM server (Options » Stop/Start License Server). For information on how to reconnect a Disconnected License, please refer to KnowledgeBase 3PPDROEQ: What is a Disconnected License File? Note: NI recommends restarting the VLM server during periods of low license usage. Applications using a concurrent license will not launch when the server is stopped.
