Problem: I just installed the DIAdem Connectivity Toolkit in LabVIEW 8.0, and when I use a toolkit VI and try to close my development VI, it asks me to save DIAdem controls. When I click to save them it gives me the error message "Cannot save control 'control name'. You do not have permission to write to the containing LLB." Solution: When the DIAdem Connectivity Toolkit is installed, by default it installs all the .llb's for the toolkit as read only. The reason it is attempting to save things is because the toolkit was developed in a previous version of LabVIEW, and LabVIEW 8.0 is attempting to update the controls to the current version. To fix this problem, all the .llb's must be changed from read-only and be mass compiled in LabVIEW 8.0. The .llb's for the Toolkit are found in "..\LabVIEW 8.0\vi.lib\addons\DIAdem". Mass Compiling can be done by selecting Tools>>Advancded>>Mass Compile. Related Links: Attachments:
