Modifying or Replicating the CompactFlash Card Image on the NI TPC-2xxx Devices

Primary Software: LabVIEW Modules>>Touch Panel Module
Primary Software Version: 8.2
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
How can I modify or replicate the image on the CompactFlash card used with my NI TPC-2xxx touch panel computer?

Solution:
For the CompactFlash card that shipped with your TPC-2xxx:
  1. Remove the CompactFlash card from your TPC-2xxx and plug it into a PC using a USB CompactFlash card reader.
  2. To simply upgrade the image, place the new image file into the \WinCE folder of the CompactFlash card.
  3. If you wish, you can also copy executables created by the LabVIEW Touch Panel Module to the card. However, we recommend that you use either FTP or the NI TPC Service (introduced in Touch Panel Module version 8.5) for deploying Touch Panel applications.
For placing an image onto a new CompactFlash card:
  1. We recommend that you use a software package called Norton Ghost.  There are other applications similar to Ghost that may also work.
  2. Set up a CompactFlash card with all the files you like.
  3. Connect the card to your PC using the USB CompactFlash card reader.
  4. Create a master image of the card with Norton Ghost.
  5. Copy the master image onto the new CompactFlash card.
  6.  Insert the new card into the TPC-2xxx and boot.
