Problem:
Are the GPIB-140 and the GPIB-140A fiber-optic GPIB extenders compatible?

Solution:
The GPIB-140 and the GPIB-140A use different protocols for data transmission and have different throughput speeds, so you cannot use them together.

• GPIB-140 = 2.2 MB/s using HS488
• GPIB-140A = 2.8 MB/s using HS488
