Can the NI-565x Series Generate a Damped Sine Wave?

Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-RFSG
Primary Software Version: 1.3
Primary Software Fixed Version: 1.3.1
Secondary Software: N/A
Hardware: Modular Instruments>>RF Measurement Devices>>PXI-5650, Modular Instruments>>RF Measurement Devices>>PXI-5651, Modular Instruments>>RF Measurement Devices>>PXI-5652

Problem:
I would like to generate a damped sine wave with the NI 5650/5651/5652 RF signal generators. Is this possible?

Solution:
A damped sine wave is a sine wave which changes amplitude periodically. When generating RF signals, damped sine waves involve changing the power level. The NI 5650/5651/5652 can perform this feature, but it will be software-timed. The NI 5650/5651/5652 cannot do scripting or store arbitrary waveforms onboard, therefore it is not possible to do a damped signal hardware-timed and periodic.

The shipping example 565x Analog Modulation.vi ( Open LabVIEW » Help » Find Examples » Hardware Input and Output » Modular Instruments » NI-RFSG (RF Signal Generator) » Modulated Waveform Generation ) is a good example program which can be modified for this type of application. This example is also attached below.
