Building Test Executive 5.1 for LabVIEW 5.0x into a Stand-Alone Executable

Problem: How do I build the Test Executive 5.1 for LabVIEW 5.0x into a stand-alone executable?

Solution:
  1. Drop the top level Test Executive.vi from the operator.llb onto a new diagram that will serve as a temporary place holding VI; save this VI as TETemp.vi
  2. Also drop Please Wait.vi and Sequence Editor.VI from the engine.llb onto this diagram.
  3. Next, drop the Open/Create/Replace File.vi from Vi.lib/Utility/File.llb and Open Panel.vi from Vi.lib/Utility/victl.llb onto the same diagram.
  4. From the file menu, choose the 'Save with Options' choice;
  5. Check the Application Distribution box, choose a new VI library, and give it a name.
  6. Next go into the above library you just created and deleted the temporary top level VI that was described in step 1.
  7. Go to the Edit VI library choice from the LV file menu and select the library you created in the above step.
  8. Delete the TETemp.vi (that you created in step 1) from the library and select Test Executive.vi as a top level VI.
  9. Build an application, choose the above library as an embedded library, and give the application a name.
  10. After building the application, add daqdrv and serpdrv to the directory where the exe resides.
  11. Also copy the operator.llb, callback.llb, and engine.llb to the directory where the exe resides.
  12. You may get a few questions asking you to find a VI, but once you point it to the right location in one of the libraries you included in steps 1-9, it should work fine.
