Why Does NI ELVIS Not Find VIs When Rebuilt into an Executable?

Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI ELVIS Driver VIs
Primary Software Version: 2.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem: NI ELVIS ships with the VIs used to create NI ELVIS.exe. However, when I modify the top level VI and build it into a new executable, why can't it find certain VIs?

Solution: The NI ELVIS software calls several VIs using VI references. For this reason the VIs are not included in the VI hierarchy and are not automatically included when the top-level VI is built into an executable.

To add these VIs to the executable in LabVIEW 7.1, select Tools»Build Application or Shared DLL. On the Source Files tab select Add Dynamic VI. Use this button to add all of the VIs in C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI ELVIS x\Source Code and all of its subdirectories. The attached elvis.bld file has this work done already for ELVIS 2.0.
