SCXI Chassis Need to Have Different Addresses Even when Controlled by Different Controllers Hardware: Switches, SCXI>>Chassis
Problem:      I have two executables using NI-SWITCH that initialize different switch modules in two different SCXI chassis. They are controlled with different MIO boards. I get an error when trying to run the 2 executables together, stating that there is already an open driver session to the switch. Solution:       While the two programs will run fine by themselves, they will not when run at the same time since the addresses of the chassis are the same. If you want the 2 programs to run at the same time different addresses need to be given to the chassis. You need to physically change the address of one of the SCXI chasses by manipulating the dip switches on the front(see below). Doing so and then changing the address of the chassis in Measurement and Automation Explorer will allow the executables to run a the same time. Related Links: Attachments:
