SCC-A10 Measurements Show Up As NRSE In MAX Primary Software: Utility Software>>Measurement & Automation ExplorerPrimary Software Version: 1.0.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A Hardware: SCC>>Modules>>SCC-A10
Problem: I’m taking voltage measurements using a SCC-A10 which has two Differential analog input channels. When selecting these channels in Measurement & Automation Explorer, I only see the NRSE input configuration, why is this? Solution: The SCC-A10 does have two Differential analog input channels. The voltage differences are measured inside the module and are each output as a single voltage. The SCC-A10 has four outputs: the voltage difference between input pins 1 & 2 (AI channel 0), the voltage difference between pins 3 & 4 (AI channel 1), AI Sense, and AI Ground. Therefore, the output of the SCC-A10 is NRSE, not Differential. The SCC-A10 Signal Connections diagram below demonstrates this. Related Links: SCC-A10 Voltage Attenuator Module Manual Attachments:
