Building Applications for Windows/ME with LabVIEW 7.1 or Later

Hardware: Multifunction DAQ (MIO)

Problem: I would like to deploy my application to Windows 98 or ME using LabVIEW 7.1 or later. However, the LabVIEW run-time engine for LabVIEW 8.0.1 only runs on Windows XP/2000. How can I run my application on these older operating systems?

Solution: Windows 98 and ME are no longer supported by Microsoft or LabVIEW. To deploy to these operating systems, VIs must be saved to a previous version of LabVIEW (5.1.1 through 7.0) and built with that version's application builder.
  1. Using File ยป Save For Previous Version to save your VI to an earlier version of LabVIEW.
  2. In the older version of LabVIEW, build the application using the Application Builder.
  3. Make sure the end-user has the earlier version of the LabVIEW run-time engine installed.
