Why Is the 1000DC SCXI Chassis Power Light Blinking On and Off?

Hardware: SCXI>>Chassis>>SCXI-1000DC

Problem: I've had the SCXI 1000 DC chassis working fine for awhile now with my 4 modules in tact. Suddenly today the power light began blinking on and off. Is this indicative of anything? What is going on?

Solution: Usually this is indicative of two things. One needs to check one of two things:
  1. Check to see if the reset button is released such that about 1mm is emmited from the hole in the chassis. If not the machine can be trying to read the modules and be immediately reset.
  2. Make sure that the SCXI-1000DC is accepting DC power. You can power it with any 9.5 to 16 VDC power supply, or use the optional SCXI-1382 12 VDC battery pack. You should also consider the optional SCXI-1383 power supply/float charger to operate the chassis from an AC power outlet when necessary.
