MIT RTE Does Not Install on Deployment Machine, Even Though LabVIEW 7 RTE Is Installed

Problem:
Why does the MIT RTE installer say that LabVIEW 7 is not installed even though I have installed The MathWorks, Inc. MATLAB® software and LabVIEW 7 Runtime Engine (RTE) on to a machine I am going to deploy?

Solution:
Open and run the attached registry key MIT-RTE fix.reg, this tells the MIT RTE that LabVIEW 7 is installed.
