Problem: I have noticed that my SignalExpress project file continues to increase in size, even when I save the file after no changes have been made. How can this be corrected? Solution: There is a known issue with a shared NI Component that SignalExpress 3.0 and earlier uses to save project files that causes files to continue to grow in size each time they are saved. That component has been updated with the release of DAQmx 8.9 and SignalExpress 2009. In order to correct the problem, you can upgrade to SignalExpress 2009 or upgrade your DAQmx driver to version 8.9 or later Alternatively, if you do not wish to upgrade to DAQmx 8.9/SignalExpress 3.0 or later, you can follow the instructions listed below. Upgrade without installing DAQmx 8.9/SignalExpress 3.0 or later
The components should now be updated, and your project size should no longer grow after each save. If you would like your project to revert to the correct size, you can copy all of the contents of the project to a new project file, and save the new project file.
