Solution: There are four options for doing data acquisition on a Macintosh system. The best option will depend on your application requirements.
- Use Mac OS X, LabVIEW 7 Express (or higher), and NI-DAQmx Base
- Simpler data acquisition interface
- Allows platform flexibility (not restricted to PXI)
- Cheapest solution
- Use Mac OS X, LabVIEW 7 Express with the Real-Time Module, and PXI data acquisition hardware
- Deterministic performance with LabVIEW Real-Time

- Use Mac OS 9.x, LabVIEW 7 Express (or earlier), and NI-DAQ 6.6.1.
