You need to make sure you include the LabVIEW support when installing NI-DAQ. Since you already have NI-DAQ installed, you can modify the installation through the Start»Settings»Control Panel. Select Add/Remove Programs utility found in the Control Panel. Select the Nationals Instruments Software within the Change or Remove Programs window, and select Change/Remove button. This will open up the NI-DAQ Installation Maintenance window.
Select Traditional NI-DAQ x.x.x, then Modify
In the National Instruments window, expand Data Acquisition»Traditonal NI-DAQ x.x.x (Legacy)» LabVIEW Support»Examples and select Will be installed on local hardrive. This will change the icon to a gray box. Select Next» to install the LabVIEW support.
Now you will be able to link to the lvdaq file, which should be located in the \LabVIEW x.x\vi.lib\daq folder.
