Booting from a USB CD-ROM Disk Drive on a VXI ControllerHardware: VXI/VME/MXI>>VXI Controllers
Problem: I am trying to boot from a ghost disk on my VXI controller, but it doesn't seem to even try to boot from my external USB CD-ROM drive. Am I missing something? Solution: There are two main items to check on your BIOS when trying to boot from an external USB device. The first thing to ensure is that the boot order places USB or external devices before the hard disk. In addition to doing this, you also need to check and ensure that Legacy USB Devices are enabled. If this setting is disabled, the BIOS may not recognize your external device.
