IMAQ FIFO Overflow Error -1074397140 with a PCI-1407 Framegrabber Card

Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-IMAQ
Primary Software Version: 3.5.1
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: LabVIEW Development Systems>>LabVIEW Base Package
Hardware: Image Acquisition (IMAQ)>>Analog Image Devices>>PCI-1407

Problem:
FIFO Overflow Error -1074397140 When Using a PCI-1407 Card Along with Another PCI Card in the Same PCI Bus.

Solution:
Because the PCI-1407 framegrabber has a relatively small amount of onboard memory, it will have a greater chance to overflow its buffer if the card is not granted enough PCI bus bandwidth. This could happen when there is another PCI device, such as another framegrabber, on the same bus that is sharing the bandwidth. Here are a few things to try to correct this problem:
  1. Remove any other PCI device that is using too much bandwidth on the PCI bus
  2. Reduce the framerate
  3. Reduce the acquisition window size
  4. Exchange the PCI-1407 with another framegrabber that has more onboard memory
