Skip Count Requested is Out of Range Error with PCIe Frame Grabber

Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-IMAQ
Primary Software Version: 3.5.1
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A
Hardware: Image Acquisition (IMAQ)>>Digital Image Devices>>PCIe-1429

Problem:
I receive the following error: -1074396900 which says "Skip count requested is out of range" when I select a value different from 0 for the input terminal "skip count" of IMAQ Configure Buffer.VI. I am using a PCIe-1429 and running the example program called IMAQ Grab with Skip Count.VI. Does the PCIe-1429 support the skip count parameter?

Solution:
The skip count is the number of frames to skip prior to acquiring the next image. The skip count is implemented by setting a physical 8-bit register on an image acquisition board. The PCIe boards (1429, 1430, etc.) do not have this register implemented on them, and therefore do not support the skip count attribute. Skip count is a feature of the hardware on other frame grabbers, such as the PCI 1428, so there is no software workaround to use skip count with the PCIe boards.

Note: Skip count is not supported for line scan acquisitions. A continuous line scan acquisition into onboard memory is also not supported. However, continuous line scan acquisition into system memory is supported.
