What Versions of the ATML Test Results Standard Does TestStand support?

Problem:
What versions of the ATML Test Results Standard does TestStand support?

Solution:
The following list summarizes the available support for the ATML Test Results Standard.
  • TestStand 3.1 and Previous - does not provide support for the ATML Test Results Standard
  • TestStand 3.5 through TestStand 2010 SP1 - provides support for the 2.02 version of the ATML Test Results Standard. These versions can generate reports that validate against the approved version 2.02 of the ATML Test Results and Session Information schema.
  • TestStand 2012 -  provides support for the 2.02 version and the non-finalized 5.0 version of the ATML Test Results Standard. Because version 5.0 of the ATML Test Results and Session Information schema was not yet approved during TestStand 2012 development, generated reports might not validate against the approved 6.01 version of the schema
  • TestStand 2013 and later - includes support for the finalized 6.01 version of the schema in addition to the existing 2.02 and non-finalized 5.0 standards. 

You can purchase the TestStand ATML Toolkit to generate reports which validate against the latest ATML Test Results schema in earlier TestStand versions.  This toolkit also allows you to convert ATML Test Description files directly to TestStand sequences and LabVIEW or LabWindows/CVI shell code. The TestStand ATML Toolkit supports four versions back of the corresponding TestStand version. For example, the ATML Toolkit 2013 supports TestStand 2010, TestStand 2010 SP1, TestStand 2012, and TestStand 2013. Refer to the ATML Toolkit readme for more details on version and OS support.

Generating ATML Reports in TestStand
Complete the following steps to configure TestStand to generate a report that validates against the ATML Test Results and Session Information schema:

  1. Select Configure»Result Processing to launch the Result Processing dialog box.
  2. Click the Options button for the Report result processing model plug-in to launch the Report Options dialog box.
  3. On the Contents tab, select ATML 6.01 Standards Report Document (available with TestStand 2013 or TestStand ATML Toolkit 2013 only), ATML 5.00 Standards Report Document or ATML 2.02 Standards Report Document from the Report Format ring control.
  4. Click OK to close the Report Options dialog box, and click OK again to close the Result Processing dialog box.

The <TestStand>\Components\Models\TestStandModels\ATML\Schemas directory contains copies of each available version of the schema.
