  • NI License Manager

  • I am currently active and on-service with a Volume License Agreement (VLA).  How can I gain access to the online training content that comes with my VLA?
  • As a VLA administrator using NI Volume License Manager (VLM), how can I ensure all of my end users have access to the online courses?

Each end user will need an NI User Account to gain access to the online courses.

There are different options of requesting access to the online training ressources depending on if you are a software administrator, or an end user of the volume license:

Administrators

If you are using NI VLM:

  1. To grant online training access to all of your end users:
Send in your compliance log containing all of the necessary end user data to NI (Choose the option Send client information).
    • The client e-mail adresses registered in VLM need to match the ones used for the ni.com accounts.

End users
For end users there are two different methods you can do that will give you access to your online account. Both methods require an ni.com user account set up with
  1. Contact your the administrator of your VLA and request your serial number. You will need to enter this serial number to your ni.com account to gain access to online training.
    • If you are an administrator and not sure where to find your serial numbers:
      • Go to the Licenses view of VLM. (The Serial Number column is hidden by default.) To add it, right click on any of the column headers and select Add/Remove Columns.

  1. For the second method: call NI or write an e-mail to customerservice@ni.com and provide the customer service representative with your name and Service ID (or Contract ID). If you don't have your Service ID, your VLA administrator can provide this.
    • If you are an administrator and not sure where to find your service ID, follow these instructions:
      • Go to the Status view in VLM and look under General Information.
