Converting Data from Vehicle Safety Tests from EGV to MME Format and Vice Versa (ISO-TS 13499)Primary Software: DIAdemPrimary Software Version: 9.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: 9.1 Secondary Software: DIAdem
Problem: MME is the abbreviation for "Road vehicles - Multimedia data exchange format for impact tests, ISO TS 13499”. EGV is the abbreviation for a preceding ISO norm. DIAdem supports both formats, whereby data in MME format is saved in channel groups and additional properties (use MME DataPlugin, see link to DataPlugins), but data in the EGV format is saved only in channels with standard properties. How can I convert DIAdem data from vehicle safety tests from EGV to MME format and vice versa (ISO-TS 13499)? Solution: With the accompanying transformation script and the right file filter you can transfer the formats into one another. DIAdem is supplied with the file filter for EGV import and export. If you want to use the file filter, register the file "EGVLoad.dll“ from the DIAdem subdirectory "Addinfo“ in the DIAdem menu Settings/Desktop parameters/GPI –DLL registration. A DataPlugin, which you can download from the internet, supports the MME import. See the following link to DataPlugins. The MME export occurs over a DIAdem extension that is in the knowledge base. Complete the following steps to convert EGV to MME: 1. Load your EGV data set in DIAdem. 2. Call the conversion script "PropCopy_EGVToMME.vbs” 3. If necessary, edit the properties of the root, of the channel groups, and of the channels (the MME format has more descriptive properties than the EGV format) 4. Save the data in the MME format Complete the following steps to convert MME to EGV: 1. Load your MME data set in DIAdem. 2. Call the conversion script "PropCopy_MMEToEGV.vbs” 3. Save the data in the EGV format Related Links: Developer Zone Tutorial: DataPlugins: Supported Data Formats Attachments:
