Problem: Can I synchronize DAQ and DNET operations? Solution: Yes you can, but not through DNET directly. You would have to implement the DNET protocol using the NI-CAN Frame API and make use of the CAN-DAQ-RTSI synchronization support (search the keyword "RTSI" in the NI-CAN HW and SW Manual linked below for further details). DNET is a protocol built on the CAN protocol, however, the firmware executing to implement the DNET protocol on Series 1 boards is different from that which executes on the same board when CAN is the chosen protocol; the DNET specific firmware does not support the use of RTSI lines whereas the CAN firmware does support the use of RTSI lines.
