How Do I Configure my SCC Carrier in MAX with NI-DAQmx?

Problem:
How do I configure the SC-2345, and other SCC carriers that are not listed as accessories in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) with NI-DAQmx?


Solution:
In traditional NI-DAQ the SCC carriers are configured as accessories, however in DAQmx, the SC-2345, the SC-2350, and SCC-68 are not listed in the accessory dropdown list.

To configure the SCC carrier in NI-DAQmx, follow these steps:
  1. Launch MAX.
  2. Expand Devices and Interfaces.
  3. Right-click on NI-DAQmx Devices and select Create New NI-DAQmx Device»NI-DAQmx SCC Connector Block.
  4. Choose the desired SCC carrier 
  5. Configure the connector block to match your hardware configuration and click OK. The SCC carrier will now show up under NI-DAQmx Devices.
Note: The NI SCC-68 is not supported by NI-DAQmx 8.0. To use this device with NI-DAQmx, install the most recent version of NI-DAQmx (linked below).
