Control Design & Simulation Palette is Missing Control Design Palette

Primary Software: LabVIEW Toolkits>>Control Design Toolkit
Primary Software Version: 2.1.1
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
I have LabVIEW 8.2 and the Control Design Toolkit 2.1.1. When I navigate to the Control Design & Simulation palette, it seems to be missing. It appears only to have a question mark icon which does nothing if I click on it. How can I fix this?

Solution:
If you are experiencing this problem, your Control Design & Simulation Palette will have this icon in place of the Control Design palette controls:

To fix the problem, follow these steps:
  1. Make sure LabVIEW is closed
  2. Extract the files in the attached mnu_files.zip into Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.2\vi.lib\addons\Control Design\
  3. Extract the files in the attached Front Panel Merge.llb.zip into Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.2\vi.lib\addons\Control Design\_Utility\Front Panel Merge.llb\
  4. Open LabVIEW, and navigate to the Control Design & Simulation palette. This palette will now have icons and subpalettes.
