Problem: I would like to use dual encoders, but I only have two axes on my MID. Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) defaults dual encoding to Axis 1 and 3, but I need to figure my second feedback encoder to a different axis on my UMI. Is this possible? Solution: In MAX, you cannot specify which lines the encoders are routed to; however, there is a LabVIEW VI that allows the user to manually assign which lines to be used for feedback on each axis. The Configure Axis Resources.flx function offers the following inputs/outputs:
