Getting Started with NI VLM - Emailing NI and Obtaining a License FilePrimary Software: Other NI Software>>NI Volume License ManagerPrimary Software Version: 2.1.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I have successfully installed NI Volume License Manager (VLM) on the computer in which I intend to run the license server. Now how do I get started using NI VLM by obtaining a volume license file? Solution: You must acquire a volume license file before you can administer software licenses from a volume license server.
Note: You can manage the volume license file only from the computer from which the computer ID was generated. Using your computer ID as a key ensures that your volume license file cannot be copied and used by anyone else. For more information, please see the NI Volume License Manager Help, also available here.
