System Hangs When Entering Hibernate or Sleep Mode Primary Software: LabVIEW Modules>>DSC ModulePrimary Software Version: 7.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: Lookout
Problem: My system hangs when entering hibernate or sleep mode. Sometimes, this occurs when Windows is saving the settings during shutdown. Why is this happening? Solution: This problem is caused by the NI Keyboard Filter component of the LabVIEW DSC Module and Lookout. To avoid this problem do not install the keyboard filter driver when installing the DSC Module and/or Lookout. If DSC or Lookout are already installed, go into Add/Remove Programs and modify the existing installation to remove this component. In some cases it may be necessary to remove the installation and reinstall the software, making sure to not install the keyboard filter driver. To install DSC or Lookout without the NI Keyboard Filter, be sure to select do not install this feature next to the the NI Keyboard Filter component.
You can also remove this feature individually by starting the DSC Module installer and selecting the option to uninstall the NI Keyboard Filter.
