Problem: Can two laptops control one PXI chassis since there are two ports in the NI PXI-8310? What are the two ports in the PXI-8310 for? There is no comment about this in the user manual. Solution: NI PXI-8310 definitely has two ports. They are L0 and L1 as described in the user manual. The current PXI-8310 doesn't allow us to connect two laptops to a single chassis, since there is no bus arbitrator built in it. You can consider L1 as a backup of L0, e.g. if there is something wrong in L0, you can use L1 instead. Note: You cannot connect a second chassis to L1.
