Problem: Can I use one SCXI module in multiple LabVIEW applications that will run simultaneously? Each application is specific to a certain test setup, but each test setup uses different channels on an SCXI card using one DAQ card. Solution: Using one SCXI module in two simultaneous LabVIEW applications is not possible. This is because all of the SCXI channels require the use of the same multiplexer, the same ADC, the same sample clock, and are routed to the AI channels on a single DAQ device. The AI channels on a single DAQ device cannot be accessed by two applications simultaneously. As a workaround, you could include both of your tests in one LabVIEW application and select which test in your application you want to run. You could run both tests at the same time in your application, just make sure to use only one Analog Input Task if you are using NI-DAQmx.
