Archived: Error -1073807298 When Setting Buffer Size over 8192 Points with TCP/IP Communication

Problem:
I am communicating with my instrument via TCP/IP. When I try to set my buffer size to a value greater than 8192 points, I receive Error -1073807298: Could not perform operation because of I/O error. Why do I receive this error, and how do I fix it?

Solution:
In NI-VISA version 3.4 and earlier, the maximum value the buffer setting can be set to for TCP/IP communication is 8192 points. To allow for a higher buffer size setting, upgrade to the latest version of NI-VISA. A link to the download page can be found in the Related Links section below.
