Error When Calling a MEX File Created With the Math Interface Toolkit Primary Software: LabVIEW Development Systems>>Full Development SystemPrimary Software Version: N/A Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: LabVIEW Toolkits>>Math Interface Toolkit
Problem: When installing the Math Interface Toolkit 1.0 (or 1.0.1, which has support for XMath) for LabVIEW 7.1 I can build the MEX files and corresponding DLLs without problem. However, I get errors when trying to call the MEX files from The MathWorks, Inc. MATLAB® software including: error: "One or more output arguments not assigned during call." How do I get rid of this error? Solution: Upon installation of the Math Interface Toolkit (MIT), part of LabVIEW's Application Builder is corrupted, which is used to create the DLLs. Uninstalling and reinstalling LabVIEW will not correct the problem since reinstallation of MIT would only recreate the problem. To resolve the issue, you will need to Repair LabVIEW, which replaces files that have been deleted or corrupted. To repair LabVIEW, go to Add/Remove Programs»National Instruments Software»Change»LabVIEW 7.1 and choose Repair. Note: This issue arises only after previously installing MIT for LabVIEW 7.0.
