Thermocouple Conversions in Measure 2.0 Primary Software: Other NI Software>>MeasurePrimary Software Version: 2.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I used the Thermocouple (and/or Thermistor) Conversion Utilities in Excel with Measure 1.x. I just installed Measure 2.0, and I noticed that these conversion utilities are no longer available. What happened to them? Solution: The functionality of the conversion utilities in Measure 1.x has been replaced with the ability to use Virtual Channels in Measure 2.0. You can configure thermocouple and thermistor virtual channels in the Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) that is part of the NI-DAQ driver. In Measure 2.0 you can then use your named virtual channels, and these will automatically apply the scaling to your acquired voltages. Nevertheless, if you still desire the functionality of these conversion utilities with Measure 2.0, you can manually install their add-ins. To do this choose Tools >> Add-ins in Excel. Then, click the Browse button and navigate to "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Measure". Choose the "convert.xla" file. Now, the Thermocouple (and Thermistor) Conversion Utilities are installed in Measure 2.0, and you can use them in the same way as you did in Measure 1.x. If you have any questions about how to use these functions, go to Help >> Measure in Excel and select the "Thermocouple Conversion Utility" help item. Related Links: Measure Support Attachments:
