How to Drive High Current Digital Devices

Hardware: Signal Conditioning Other>>SSR Series

Problem: I need to drive high current and voltage loads, such as motors, with my DIO board. The circuitry used on my boards does not drive enough current nor can they handle high switching voltages necessary for these devices. What can I do?

Solution: You can use the SSR series modules. There are different types of modules: DC input, DC output, AC input, and AC output. They support various voltage ranges as well. For further information, refer to the latest National Instruments Catalog.

Note, 8255PPI chips cannot drive the SSR series OAC-5 modules.
