Compiler Error When Creating an Embedded Application with Control Design Toolkit 2.1.1 Primary Software: LabVIEW Toolkits>>Control Design ToolkitPrimary Software Version: 2.1.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: LabVIEW Modules>>Embedded Development Module
Problem: When I try to create an embedded application that uses the CD Generic Error Handler.vi, I get a message saying, "In this version, VIs can't be called locally." I then get a second message titled "Failed to Build Executable!" with a message of "Compiler error occurred." Why is this happening and how can I fix it? Solution: The CD Generic Error Handler.vi is not supported for Embedded with version 2.1.1 of the Control Design Toolkit. The open/close VI code in needs to be conditionally cased out in this VI so that it will generate code for Embedded. See the modifications on the attached VI. Replace the VI shipping with CDT 2.1.1 with the VI in attachment OR Removed the VI Server Calls in the CD Generic Error Handler.vi. Related Links: Attachments:
