Why Don't Some Signals Appear in the Input Signal Selection Menu of My SignalExpress Step?

Primary Software: LabVIEW Signal Express>>Development System
Primary Software Version: 1.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem: Why does the signal I want to use not appear in the input signal selection menu of my SignalExpress step?

Solution: There are two common reasons for this. First, to see a signal name in the signal selection menu, that signal must have been returned in a previous step. For example, you cannot generate a signal in step 1 that is created in step 2.

The other reason a signal could be missing from the signal selection menu is that the data type of the signal does not match the data type expected by the step. You can process only signals that make sense for a specific step. For example, you can perform a power spectrum operation on a time-domain signal only.

For more information please see the "signal types in the Express Workbench" index topic in the Express Workbench Help by selecting Help » Express Workbench Help.
