Why does the SYSFAIL LED come on when the VXIbus timeout is changed in the VXI/VME Configuration Editor? Hardware: VXI/VME/MXI>>VME Controllers, VXI/VME/MXI>>VXI Controllers
Problem: Why does the SYSFAIL LED come on when the VXIbus timeout is changed in the VXI/VME Configuration Editor? Solution: The lighting of the Sysfail LED is normal. Whenever the EEPROM is updated with a new configuration, the update takes place by writing to A32 space. Changing something as fundamental as the VXIbus timeout requires that the MITE chipset be reset through a power cycle of the chassis. When this is performed, the Sysfail LED will no longer be lit.
