How Do I Distribute My IMAQ RT Application on a PXI-8146 Controller?Primary Software: LabVIEW Toolkits>>IMAQ Vision for LabVIEWPrimary Software Version: 7.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A Hardware: PXI/CompactPCI>>Controllers>>PXI-8145 RT, PXI/CompactPCI>>Controllers>>PXI-8176 RT, PXI/CompactPCI>>Controllers>>PXI-8170 RT, PXI/CompactPCI>>Controllers>>PXI-8175 RT, PXI/CompactPCI>>Controllers>>PXI-8156B RT, PXI/CompactPCI>>Controllers>>PXI-8146 RT
Problem: I read in the IMAQ Vision for LabVIEW Real-Time User Manual on page 1-3 that an 814x controller could be used for deployed IMAQ RT applications. How can this be done since the 814x doesn't support configuration? Solution: You must use a PXI controller that supports configuration (see Table 1-1 in the User Manual listed above). This PXI COntroller should have the same hardware your PXI-814x controllers have. Once you have configured the IMAQ boards on the PXI-817x or 8156B as described in the User Manual, you copy the configuration files created by running ConfigureIMAQRT.exe. These configuration files are located on the PXI-817x or PXI-8156B in the C:\ni-imaq\data\ directory. You will need to create a directory on the PXI-814x controllers called C:\ni-imaq\data\ and FTP these files to the target PXI-814x controllers. Make sure you have LabVIEW RT and IMAQ RT installed on these target PXI-814x controllers. Related Links: How do I deploy IMAQ Vision to other RT remote systems?
