Problem: I have a DAQPad 6015/6016, and I am wondering if the ground pins are connected to earth ground. I know that USB devices without an external power supply (like the USB 6008/6009) use a system ground since there is no path to earth ground. Does the 6016 use this system ground reference when I connect to one of its ground pins, or is there a connection to earth ground through the power supply? Solution: The DAQPad 6015 and 6016 ground pins are connected to earth ground. The USB ground and the external power supply ground are tied together with some resistors, so the two grounds are essentially one and the same. Related Links: Attachments:
