Problem: I am using NI software licensed with NI Volume License Manager. I have added my computer and/or user and the appropriate permissions to NI VLM. However, when I try to launch my software I receive the following error message: Permission required to check out license from "<computer name>". Contact your license administrator if you have any questions.Why am I getting this error, and how can I fix it? Solution: This error indicates that in NI VLM, the client computer or user has not been given permission for the software you are trying to use. Chances are, one of following mistakes have been made:
Note that if you are using FLEXlm instead of NI VLM, you need to create an options file manually instead of assigning permissions within NI VLM.
