DAQ Device Counter is Unavailable when SCXI is Listed in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX)Hardware: Counter/Timers (TIO)
Problem: Why is one of my counters unavailable when I have a SCXI device listed in MAX? Solution: When SCXI is created in MAX, a DAQ device is configured as the controller of the chassis (Figure 1). This will automatically reserve digital lines on the controller, which will make them unavailable on the DAQ device for other applications. An error may or may not be given and the SCXI chassis may be either an actual or simulated device. Refer to your SCXI device manual to modify the reserved lines or remove the device from MAX.
