Pattern Matching Subpixel Accuracy Interpolation Method

Primary Software: LabVIEW Modules>>Vision Development Module
Primary Software Version: 8.2.1
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
When using the Pattern Matching function with Vision Assistant or the Vision Development Module, I have enabled the subpixel accuracy option.  What interpolation method does the Pattern Matching function's subpixel accuracy option use?

Solution:
The Pattern Matching function's subpixel accuracy option uses a bi-linear interpolation method. Bi-linear interpolation is an extension of linear interpolation for interpolating functions of two variables on a regular grid. The key idea is to perform linear interpolation first in one direction, and then in the other direction.
