Problem: What are the issues to be aware of when installing Calibration Executive 2.0 and TestStand Engine on the same computer? Solution: When installing Calibration Executive 2.0 on a machine that also has TestStand, issues can arise with conflicting versions of the TestStand Engine. Calibration Executive 2.0 installs items such as NI-DAQ, VISA, NI-488.2, TestStand Run Time Engine, etc. With everything except the TestStand Run Time Engine, if the installer detects that a newer version is installed already, then the older version is not installed on top of it. For example, if you were to install Calibration Executive 2.0 on a machine that has NI-DAQ 6.9 installed, NI-DAQ 6.6 would not be installed over it. This is not the case with the TestStand Engine installer. It will not detect if a newer version of the Engine is already installed on the machine and will install the old 1.01 Engine over it and cause problems. If you want to install both Calibration Executive 2.0 and TestStand on the same machine, install Calibration Executive first.
