Problem: My device is supported in NI-DAQmx and I have NI-DAQmx installed. I would like to simulate my National Instruments DAQ device in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX). When I navigate in the MAX Configuration tree to My System » Data Neighborhood » Devices and Interfaces and then right-click on NI-DAQmx Devices and select Create New NI-DAQmx Device... » Simulated NI-DAQmx Device, my device does not appear on the list of devices that can be selected for simulation. How can I simulate my device? Solution: Certain NI-DAQmx devices cannot be simulated in MAX. These devices are listed below:
Also, it is important to note that Traditional NI-DAQ does not support the simulated device feature. In some cases it may be possible to simulate a similar device in place of the devices listed above. However, it is very important to keep in mind that the simulated device may have features not available on your own device.
