PXI Star Trigger Unavailable in LabVIEW

Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-DAQmx
Primary Software Version: N/A
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A
Hardware: PXI/CompactPCI

Problem:
I have a PXI chassis with a card in slot 2 controlling the PXI Star Trigger line. I try to configure the PXI Star Trigger in LabVIEW, but the option is not available. How can I enable this option?

Solution:
The reason you cannot choose the Star Trigger is because the driver does not know it exists. You need to identify your PXI chassis correctly in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) to resolve the issue:
  1. Open (MAX)
  2. Expand Devices and Interfaces
  3. Right-click on PXI System and choose your PXI controller NOTE: Choose External PC if you are controlling the chassis via a MXI connection
  4. Expand PXI System
  5. Right-click Chassis and choose Identify As. Choose your chassis' number from the list.
  6. Left-click the Save icon near the top on the right-hand side of MAX.
Now that you have properly configured the PXI chassis, place a new DAQmx Terminal control or constant on the block diagram and select the Star Trigger you need for your device.
