Removing Drivers or Software Installed with Old Versions of LabVIEW

Primary Software: LabVIEW Development Systems>>Professional Development System
Primary Software Version: 1.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
I need to remove software or drivers that were automatically installed with my older version of LabVIEW. How can I do this?

Solution:
With older versions of LabVIEW, some drivers and software were automatically installed with the LabVIEW installer. This is compared to the current LabVIEW Installer which only installs LabVIEW, and the drivers are separate installs afterward.

Follow the instructions below to remove software or drivers installed with an older version of LabVIEW, typically in order to be able to install a newer version of the driver.

  1. Go to ' Add or Remove Programs' (Start » Settings » Control Panel)

  2. Navigate to the LabVIEW Installation, as seen below, and click 'Change'

  3. Click the 'Add/Remove' button from the menu.

  4. Left-click on the software or driver you want to uninstall, and click the 'Entire Feature Will be Unavailable' option. Click 'Next' and that one piece of software will be uninstalled.

After the old driver has been uninstalled, new drivers can  be installed.
