National Instruments Serial Device not Listed in Measurement and Automation ExplorerHardware: Serial>>RS-232>>PXI-8420/4
Problem: I have installed NI-VISA, but I do not see my National Instruments serial device in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX). Am I missing a driver? Solution: The driver that installs National Instruments serial device is NI-Serial and it is not included with the NI-VISA installation. NI-Serial is responsible for installing the serial device while ensuring proper interrupt sharing between all of the ports in the system. NI-Serial comes on a separate CD that ships with each device.
