How Do I Connect a Pressure Transducer to the cFP-AI-110?

Hardware: Compact FieldPoint>>Analog I/O Modules>>cFP-AI-110

Problem:
I have a pressure transducer that I want to use with the cFP-AI-110 module. How do I wire it?

Solution:
The cFP-AI-110 can be configured to measure voltage or current. A pressure transducer generates an electrical signal as a result of the pressure imposed. It can be treated as a 4-20 mAmp current source. If your pressure transducer does not have an external power supply you wire it up as in Figure 1. Transducer Pin 1 (excitation+) goes to the COM Terminal while Transducer Pin 2 (excitation-) goes to the IIN terminal.

Figure 1

If your pressure transducer uses an external power supply, use the wiring configuration in Figure 2. Transducer Pin 1 (excitation+) goes to the VSUP terminal while Transducer Pin 2 (excitation-) goes to the IIN terminal.
