Does Vision Assistant support image acquisition from my Smart Camera?

Solution:
Yes, all Smart Camera models are supported in Vision Assistant 8.6. Very seldomly you may notice that you are unable to connect to your Smart Camera and that you get the above errors. Take the following steps to remedy this issue:
  1. Open Vision Assistant.ini in a text editor. You can find the file in the following directory:
    C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Vision Assistant 8.6
  2. Locate the line [Smart Camera Targets] toward the bottom of the file. If you do not see this line then add it at the bottom.
  3. Add the following text just below [Smart Camera Targets]

    Passwords=""
    IPAddress=x.x.x.x

    Replace x.x.x.x with your Smart Camera's IP address.
Please note that this is a rare issue and a fix will be included in the next version of Vision Assistant.
