Why Doesn't Lookout Allow the User to Copy a Panel?

Problem:
When I right-click on a Panel object in Lookout, the Copy option is grayed out. How do I copy a Panel?

Solution:
Lookout does not allow you to copy and paste a Panel object. There are a number of good reasons for this:

• It is unclear what you want when you copy a panel. You could want any of the following:
  
  • A new panel that is the same size
    
  • A new panel the same size with a copy of the objects that are on it
    
  • Or a new panel the same size with a whole new set of new objects linked the same way
  
  
• More importantly, we do not recommend creating multiple panels that look alike. For better performance, create one panel that multiplexes the values from different sources.
